✅ Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (Trade Wise):

Engineering Trades (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Electronics & Communication / Industrial Engineering):

• BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering in relevant branch from a recognized university / institute
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree
• SC / ST candidates: Minimum 55% marks required
• Candidates must have a full-time regular degree — distance / part-time degrees not accepted
• AMIE qualification also considered (subject to fulfillment of all conditions)

Geology:

• M.Sc in Geology / Applied Geology from a recognized university
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST)

Rajbhasha Hindi:

• Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at graduation level
• OR Master’s Degree in Sanskrit / English / Economics / Commerce with Hindi as a subject at graduate level
• Minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST)

Company Secretary:

• Graduate in any stream from a recognized university
• ACS / FCS (Associate / Fellow Member of ICSI) — The Institute of Company Secretaries of India
• Minimum 60% marks in graduation (55% for SC/ST)

📝 Selection Process for Coal India MT 2026

The selection for CIL Management Trainee 2026 will be conducted in the following stages:

Stage 1 – Online Written Examination (CBT)

• Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted through a centralized exam system
• Two sections: Trade Specific Technical Paper and General Aptitude / Reasoning
• Trade-wise separate question papers
• Qualifying marks as per CIL MT 2026 norms (category-wise cut-off)
• Candidates shortlisted based on written exam merit are called for the next stage

Stage 2 – Skill / Proficiency Test (for applicable trades)

• For Rajbhasha Hindi and Company Secretary posts — written / practical skill test may be conducted
• Qualifying in nature

Stage 3 – Document Verification (DV)

• Verification of all original educational certificates, age proof, category certificate, and ID proof
• Engineering degree with mark sheets, GATE score (if applicable), and other relevant documents required

Stage 4 – Pre-Employment Medical Examination

• Comprehensive medical fitness check at designated CIL / subsidiary hospitals
• Candidates must meet the prescribed medical standards for executive posts in CIL

Stage 5 – Final Merit List & Appointment

• Final merit list prepared based on written exam score
• Selected candidates posted to CIL and its subsidiary companies across India
